1860, Owen Woods, age 65 a farmer with real estate valued at $360, and a personal estate of $275, born in VA and cannot read and write; wife Caroline age 60 born in TN. Son George age 22, and son Henry age 19. George is a laborer. (S) U.S. 1860 Census.

8/13/1870, Owen Wood and wife Caroline, both age 71 and born in VA live in Gibson Co., TN; next to son Thomas. Owen is a farmer with a personal estate of $200. (S) U.S. 1870 Census.

3/1/1872, Caroline died in Gibson Co., TN.

12/6/1873, Owen married Martha Foster (b.1825, d.1898).

12/7/1875, Owen died in Gibson Co., TN.

Note: There multiple “Owen Wood” families in Gibson Co., TN during this time. One other “Owen Wood” a year younger than this Owen also has a wife Caroline; but she is 5 years younger than this Caroline. [This family is also in the 1860 Census.]
