years and more, was his sister and heir. She died on 25 July last. Alice wife
of William Carente is her aunt and heir, being the sister of Richard her

of pasture in Hengstrugg, co. Somerset, came to the king's hands by the death
of Richard Tomer, … , and by reason of the minority of John, Richard's son and
heir, who lately died a minor in the king's ward, and are still in the king's
hands for the causes aforesaid and also by reason of the minority of Edith,
John's sister and heir, who likewise died of late a minor in the king's ward,
and that Alice the wife of William Carente, sister of Richard the father of
John the brother of Edith, is Edith's kinswoman ancl next heir, and of full
age,—to take the fealty of the said William and cause him and Alice to have
