1086-87, Ranulf Peverel & Ingelrica ?: Domesday Book records ‘Ranulph Peverel’ holding Ewelme in Oxfordshire; numerous properties in Essex. Dugdale records that Ingelrica, wife of Ranulf Peverell, had been mistress to King William the Conqueror; but does not cite the source of his information.

1/27/1091, Eudo dapifer, …, Urso de Abetot …, Ranulfus Peverellis, …, witnessed the charter under which William II King of England confirmed the status of Bath abbey. (S) FMG.
