1/16/1344, Licence for William Deyncourt to grant in tail to William son of William Deyncourt and Margaret daughter of Adam de Well the manor of Blaunkeney (80 acres of wood and knight’s fees excepted) held in chief … Lincoln. (S) CPRs.

6/1349, The Plague reached Dorset, and had spread across England by the end of 1349. [Usually 2-3 wills were executed in the town of Colchester, Essex, each year. In the 2 years 1349-50, 111 wills were executed.].

By 1356, William married Margaret.

By 1360, William died before his father, leaving his son as heir to his father. “Grant to queen Philippa … of the wardship of lands late of William Deyncourt, ‘chivaler,’ who held in chief, …knight’s fees, advowsons of churches, wards, reliefs, escheats and reversions, … with the marriage of the heir, ; and so from heir to heir. 3/8/1379, Order to cause William son of William son of William de Deyncourt, being cousin and heir of William the grandfather, to have seisin of his said grandfather's lands. (S) CCRs.
