1/20/1699, Charles and Madeleine arranged for the unmarried sons Nicolas and Pierre to have half of the family property, receiving the rest after their death. The sons had to take care of their parents and pay 250 livres to a year to their siblings.
6/13/1700, Charles, age 74, died in Chateau Richer.

They were safely blown onto the shore where they gave thanks to the great saint for their deliverance.”
