7/16/1318 … the king’s baliff … after his [Roger de Macclesfield] death … fraudulently occupied them [6 messuages], whilst Jordan, ignorant of his death, was absent studying at Oxford … Jordan his brother is next heir, and of full age. (S) CIsPM.
