1370, Simon de Thornhill, who held of the lord in Stansfeld, Skircoat, Ovenden, and Wadsworth, ... died, and Elizabeth, daughter and heir, of the age of 2 years, and in the custody of Elizabeth her mother, comes and gives for relief 10s. 1370, 2 year old Elizabeth inherited her father’s estates. John, father of Henry, purchased the rights to her marriage from the Crown for £126 3s 4d.

1407-08, Henry’s brother John died leaving Henry as his male heir, and a daughter Isabel.
