Family notes:

·         From a 1/4/1529 indenture, John wrote a will which is lost.

·         9/22/1516, “Sir John Culpeper, sometime of Goudhurst, Knight” … “Walter Culpeper and Agnes his wife my father and mother”, named in the will of John’s brother Richard.

·         1490, a monumental brass depicting Sir John Culpeper and his wife placed in the church at Goudhurst. [Brass is next to that of John Bedgebury, 1^st husband of John’s mother.]

Children of John and Agnes:

i. Alexander Culpeper, born 1454 in England.

[Named after his uncle Alexander Clifford.]

Alexander received the lands in Sussex and Essex.

ii. Walter Culpeper (39064), born ~1460 in Kent, England.
