By 1346, Simon’s father died, his older brother John the heir.

1346, Simon and James Barry held one fee in Torlaston which “Master Ralph Barry and Matilda who was the wife of Reginald de Aslacton formerly held.” [Matilda is Simon’s paternal grandmother.]

~1350, Simon died, his son William still a minor.

·         Simon’s son William eventually inherited the lands of Simon’s older brother John.
