Thomas of Ffaringdon in com. Barks. [Faringdon, now in co. Oxfordshire, is recorded in the Domesday book of 1086, and was given a charter by King John in 1216. It is about a third of the way from Gloucester to London.]

·         6/10/1558 a Thomas Croker was granted arms. (S) UKNA, Sheffield Archives.

·         There are a lot of “Croker” persons in Dorset during this time period.

·         This Alice could not be d/o Geoffrey Dormer & Ursula Collingridge, they were born 100 years earlier.
