10/1786, Deed of Martin Wells to Nicholas Bryan for 2 pieces of land; proved by John Holden. (S) Duplin Co. Court Rcds.
Aft. 1790, Martin moved his family to/through GA. (S) His daughter Elizabeth was married there.
By 1796, Martin moved his family to Montgomery Co., TN.
1798, Martin and his son on tax rolls of Montgomery Co.
Martin died.
1/1803, Martin’s estate was inventoried in Montgomery Co.: 16 Negros three of whom are in the possession of James Fentress, & ones in possession of William Blake in the State of North Carolina. 3 Horses, 12 herd of Cattle, 53 head of hogs little & big, 213 acres of lands, 6 cows, 2 Ploughs, 2 Kettles w/ovens, 1 Pot Triangle, 1 loom & 3 ?, 1 Millstone, 2 Beds, 1 Lennen & Whoolen ditto, 1 pair cards, 1 Rifle gun, 15 plates, 1 set of tee ware, 1 pepper caster 1 casrole stand w/ snuffers , 1 set of knives & forks, 6 spoons, 1 cason 1 flatiron 4 chairs 250 lb Cotton 1175 lb Pork, 2 beef hides.

1829, Martin move his family to Bastrop Co, TX.
1/4/1836, Martin died; will probated 7/31/1837.
